Guidelines for those new to counselling
In the early stage of counselling it is not unsual to experience a "honeymoon period" this effect or symptom relief may feel good. It is important to remember not to stop counselling at this time, without getting to the source of the problem, you may replace existing problems with other issues.
During your counselling session it is not unsual to feel worse before you feel better, when counselling feels difficult it is important not to give up - be honest with your counsellor and discuss your feelings and reactions this will help you move forward.

Do I need a doctors referral for counselling
